FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH

Promoting Awareness: Informing Families about Free and Reduced-Rate Meal Options

Our school fully recognizes the significant role of good nutrition in enhancing every student’s educational performance.

To support this belief, our school is committed to providing eligible students in need with breakfast and/or lunch at a reduced rate or completely free of charge. Determination of eligibility for free or reduced-price meals will be carried out in accordance with the criteria established by the Child Nutrition Program and National School Lunch Act. These criteria are updated annually by the Federal government through the State Department of Education.

The responsibility for assessing students’ eligibility for free and reduced-rate meals lies with the Principal or their authorized representative.

Every year, the school will ensure that all interested individuals are informed about the availability, eligibility requirements, and application process for free and reduced-rate meals. To achieve this, an application will be distributed to the family of each enrolled student.

The Principal or their authorized representative will diligently prepare and implement the necessary procedures and guidelines to ensure the smooth operation of this program. They will also ensure that the appropriate policy attachments for Free and Reduced-Price Meals or Free Milk are accurately completed and submitted for approval to the School Food Service Division of the State Department of Education at the start of each school year.
